We're limiting these to a maximum of 50 builds each year, in order to give each of these special builds the attention they deserve from the Dunable creator himself.

"While we've decided to streamline the Standard Custom line a bit to ensure a quicker and more efficient turnaround process, we still want to offer the option to have us build you an entirely unique instrument with the special builder/client collaboration that leaves a fulfilling artistic creation for us both. So say hello to the new USA Ultimate Custom line. I love having a couple one-on-one conversations with you to brainstorm and come up with a concept that results in a very original, inspired, and personalized piece of art, that also happens to be the best guitar you'll ever own. That is the most fun I have making guitars. While I love every guitar we've ever made, this is the stuff that really gets me excited."

"Whether you have a certain vibe you want to throw at me ("if a guitar was a redwood forest," "make it look like it was just pulled out of the burning inferno of hell," "looks like a giant northern lights nug and has a built in pipe," and "jack-o-lantern trick or treat bucket" are some real examples of great ways to get the conversation started), or we design something insane, using a growing special stash of unique and hard to find woods I have that can't be used for mass production due to their rarity. I would love to make you a jaw-dropping custom instrument, and have you allow me to take the wheel creatively, while also following your vision. Custom inlay, graphics, special mods, electronics, whatever. Almost nothing is off limits. But that's what the conversations are for, so we can truly collaborate as much as you want, within reason."

To summarize what the Ultimate Custom series is:

- you provide a concept, however detailed or vague as you want.

- after a few phone calls or emails with Sacha Dunable, the two of you will come up with a creative and pragmatic plan to make your highly personalized custom build within our range of guitar and bass models. 

To summarize what the Ultimate Custom series is NOT:

- us building a replica of a guitar model we don't make and don't want to make

- us being provided with overly specific notes resulting in a build we don't feel passionate about making. This is all about us being as excited as you to see this guitar finished!

To order a USA Ultimate Custom:

1. Fill out the form with as much detail as possible, or as little as you want. We love being given some notes, presenting you with a plan that we can go over together, and then letting Sacha work his magic.

2. Pay the $1000 US deposit. You will then be contacted within a couple days to set up a phone call or email (whichever you prefer) with Sacha to go over your notes and come up with the full concept for the build, as well as finalize the price. All deposits are non-refundable. See the terms and conditions page at checkout for full details. 

3. Wait time will be 6-12 months, depending on the complexity of the build. We will allow for minor changes to the original plan along the way if it has not gone too far through the process.

4. Balance will be due when the guitar is done, and you will have the option to make payments along the way via a link we can provide.
