Yeti VI - USA Original 2024

The VI is one of the most misunderstood and under-appreciated instruments in the history of the electric guitar. It's a bass, but also a guitar, but also not really either one. The 30.75" scale length and one octave below standard guitar tuning technically make it a bass, although the six strings on a guitar-like neck sort of also make it a guitar. Many people mistakenly refer to it as a baritone, which is inaccurate, since this is tuned even lower. 

To simplify what this is and emphasize what makes it cool, let's just focus on this one fact: this is a guitar tuned like a bass. The original designs in this format released in the 50's and 60's came with low output single coil plckups. We knew we had to offer a version equipped with modern electronics, making it an even more versatile tool that can be used as a low tuned guitar that's ready for unique clean tones or crushing heavy tones, or just as a straight up bass.

Our 2023 batch was a huge hit, and we knew that this had to be added to the standard model lineup.
